Job summary

Responsibilities include imaging, interpretation support, and collaboration with the cardiology team. The role requires ARDMS/CCI certification within 1 year, BLS within 30 days, and education in sonography or a related field.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI registration within 1 year.
• BLS within 30 days – American Heart Association.
• Education in Sonography or Related field.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality two-dimensional ultrasound studies of the heart and great vessels.
• Identify EKG abnormalities and/or arrhythmia; assess cardiac anatomy and function.
• Use M‑Mode, color Doppler, and Doppler techniques to evaluate valvular disease and flow.
• Assess left/right ventricular function, wall motion, and congenital abnormalities.
• Obtain images from parasternal, apical, subcostal and suprasternal views; document findings.
• Assist with stress echocardiography including dobutamine or exercise protocols; monitor patient.
• Coordinate with cardiologists; maintain records and billing data; participate in QA.
