Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a cardiac echocardiography technologist to provide high-quality ultrasound images of the heart and great vessels for adult patients. The role includes assisting with stress tests, coordinating with cardiologists, and maintaining equipment and documentation.

Sign-on bonus and relocation bonus are available for eligible applicants. New grads welcome, with ARDMS/CCI registration within 1 year and BLS within 30 days required.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI registration within 1 year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Education: Sonography or Related field
• Work Experience: Accept New Grads.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality two-dimensional ultrasound studies of the heart and great vessels, along with identifying EKG abnormalities and/or arrhythmia.
• Uses segmental approach to image cardiac structures from four windows: parasternal, apical, subcostal and suprasternal notch.
• Operates ultrasound equipment and selects transducers for optimal resolution and penetration.
• Evaluates cardiac function, valvular disease, and flow with Doppler and contrast as needed.
• Collaborates with cardiologist for clarification and communicates results in a timely manner.
