Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an echocardiography technologist to provide high-quality ultrasound images of the heart and great vessels for adult patients and assist with exercise stress testing under physician guidance.

Certifications in ARDMS or CCI within 1 year and BLS within 30 days are required; new grads are welcome. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available for qualified applicants, with opportunities to join a growing cardiology service.

Qualifications

• Certifications: ARDMS or CCI registration within 1 year; BLS within 30 days - American Heart Association.
• Education: Sonography or Related field.
• Work Experience: Accept New Grads.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality two-dimensional ultrasound studies of the heart and great vessels.
• Identifies EKG abnormalities and/or arrhythmias.
• Uses M-Mode to measure cardiac dimensions.
• Assesses blood flow with Doppler techniques and color flow.
• Evaluates ventricular function and wall motion abnormalities.
• Performs transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) with physician support.
• Maintains equipment and documents findings and patient data.
• Collaborates with cardiologists and participates in stress echocardiography procedures.
• Participates in mobile echo/vascular service and callback rotation.
