Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced echocardiography technologist to provide high-quality ultrasound imaging of the heart and great vessels for adult patients. Responsibilities include assisting with stress echocardiography, TEE support, and collaboration with cardiology for interpretation of results.

Qualifications include ARDMS or CCI registration within 1 year, BLS within 30 days, and education in sonography or related field. New grads welcome; sign-on and relocation bonuses may apply.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality two-dimensional ultrasound studies of the heart and great vessels.
• Identifies EKG abnormalities and/or arrhythmia.
• Uses age-appropriate techniques and positioning for optimal imaging.
• Assesses valvular function using Doppler and color-flow imaging.
• Operates ultrasound equipment and selects appropriate transducers.
• Communicates results to cardiologist in a timely manner.
• Assists in performing transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE).
• Participates in mobile echo/vascular service regionally.
• Maintains equipment and participates in QA/QC programs.
