Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an Echocardiography Technologist to provide high-quality ultrasound assessments of the heart and great vessels for adult patients. The role includes assisting with exercise and pharmacologic stress testing and collaborating with cardiology to deliver accurate results.

The ideal candidate holds ARDMS or CCI registration within one year, has a sonography-related education, and is prepared to obtain BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI registration within 1 year.
• BLS within 30 days (AHA).
• Sonography-related education required.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality two-dimensional ultrasound studies of the heart and great vessels.
• Identifies EKG abnormalities and arrhythmias.
• Uses age-appropriate approaches and patient positioning for optimal imaging.
• Applies M-Mode, Doppler, and contrast echocardiography as needed.
• Evaluates LV/RV function and wall motion abnormalities.
• Communicates results to the cardiologist and documents findings.
• Participates in mobile echo/vascular services and callback rotations.
