Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a qualified Sonographer specialized in adult echocardiography to provide high quality ultrasound imaging of the heart and great vessels. The role involves assisting with exercise and pharmacologic stress tests, with evidence-based practice and collaboration with cardiology doctors.

The ideal candidate will hold ARDMS or CCI registration, have BLS, and possess education in sonography or related field. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

ARDMS or CCI registration within 1 year.
BLS within 30 days (AHA).
Education in sonography or related field.

Responsibilities

Performs high quality two-dimensional ultrasound studies of the heart and great vessels, including EKG interpretation as needed.
Identify abnormalities and artifacts; use M-Mode and Doppler techniques to assess cardiac structures.
Estimate valvular insufficiencies and analyze left/right ventricular function.
Obtain images from parasternal, apical, subcostal and suprasternal windows; ensure high quality data.
Assist with stress echocardiograms and transesophageal echo (TEE) when required.
Communicate results to cardiologist and maintain documentation and QA metrics.
