Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a skilled echocardiography technologist to perform high-quality ultrasound studies of the heart and great vessels. The role includes assisting with exercise and pharmacologic stress testing, interpreting EKG correlations, and collaborating with cardiology for optimal patient care.

The candidate should hold ARDMS or CCI registration within 1 year and BLS certification per AHA guidelines, with completion of a Sonography-related education.

Qualifications

• ARDMS/CCI registration within 1 year is required.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days is required.
• Sonography or related field education is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality two-dimensional ultrasound studies of the heart and great vessels.
• Identifies EKG abnormalities and arrhythmias.
• Assists in stress echocardiography including dobutamine.
• Operates ultrasound equipment and selects appropriate transducers.
• Maintains documentation and communicates results to the cardiologist.
• Participates in mobile echo/vascular service regionally.
• Completes monthly correlation studies and QA programs.
