Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Technician to perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound exams under physician supervision, ensuring patient safety and comfort while coordinating with care teams. The role requires ARDMS/CCI certification and BLS, with a preferred Bachelor’s Degree.

The position is full-time, with 40 hours weekly, four 10-hour shifts, and on-call responsibilities. Primarily based at St. Marys Regional Hospital with rotating duties at related clinics.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, and patients.
• Prepare for exams by verifying patient identification and educating patients and families.
• Perform ultrasound exams in a timely manner following related protocols.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve high-quality outcomes.
• Document results and apply appropriate charge codes for exams and supplies.
• Maintain equipment, work area, and stock supplies.
