Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac exams under physician direction at a hospital setting. The role includes scheduling, coordinating with medical staff, and ensuring patient safety and comfort during ultrasound procedures.

The position requires ARDMS/CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography and BLS. A Bachelor's degree is preferred and may be verified.

Qualifikationen

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution (degree will be verified).

Aufgaben

• Demonstrate technical competence for department-specific ultrasound protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule echocardiography exams.
• Coordinate exams with physicians, clinics, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for exams by following patient identification processes, educating patient and family on procedure, and transporting the patient.
• Perform ultrasound exams consistently with related protocols and in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Identify patient needs and communicate care with physicians and other caregivers.
• Return patient to room and ensure patient stability after exams.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and procedural technique.
• Document exam results and apply appropriate charge codes.
• Clean and maintain equipment, work area, and stock supplies.
• Coordinate repair or supply needs through proper channels.
• Support team and quality improvement processes and initiatives.
• Participate in educational opportunities to develop additional skills.
