Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Technician to perform diagnostic cardiac exams under physician direction. The role requires ARDMS/CCI and BLS certification, with a preferred Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.

Full-time position at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital with rotations. You will schedule, prepare, and perform ultrasound exams, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes while coordinating with the care team.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department-specific exam protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule ultrasound exams for timely patient care.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physicians, caregivers, and patients.
• Prepare patients, educate them about procedures, and transport as needed.
• Perform ultrasound exams per related protocols and ensure quality outcomes.
• Document results and appropriate information; apply charge codes.
