Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac exams under physician supervision. The role is a full-time position at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital with rotating duties and on-call responsibilities.

The candidate will hold ARDMS/CCI certification and BLS, with a preferred Bachelor’s degree. Responsibilities include coordinating exams, documenting results, and mentoring staff, while maintaining patient safety.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree education from an accredited institution; degree will be verified.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for the exam by identifying patients, educating patients and families, and transporting the patient.
• Perform ultrasound exams consistent with related protocols in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Identify patient needs and coordinate care with physicians, other caregivers, patient, and family.
• Return patient to room and ensure stability and safety after the exam.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and technique.
• Document exam results and other needed information.
• Apply appropriate charge codes for exams and supplies.
• Clean and maintain equipment, work area, and stock supplies.
• Coordinate repair or supply needs through proper channels.
• Support team and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in educational opportunities to develop skills and knowledge.
• Provide education for other caregivers, fellows, and students.
