Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac exams under physician direction and contribute to accurate patient diagnosis. The role requires coordinating with staff, physicians, and patients while maintaining safety and quality during examinations.

Full-time, 40 hours per week with four 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM–5:00 PM) and on-call responsibilities. Some rotations occur at affiliated clinics. ARDMS/CCI and BLS certifications are required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred and will be verified.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, offices, caregivers and patients.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and transport patients as needed.
• Perform ultrasound exams per protocol in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Identify patient needs and communicate with physicians and caregivers.
