Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Tech at Good Samaritan Hospital to perform diagnostic cardiac/vascular ultrasound under physician supervision. Open to recent graduates or those new to the field, with a 30-hour part-time schedule and on-call shifts.

You will coordinate exams, educate patients, and ensure safety while supporting the clinical team and ongoing quality initiatives. Opportunities for mentorship and career growth are emphasized.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography is required.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution preferred and will be verified.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department-specific protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams and coordinate with medical staff.
• Prepare patients for exams, educate patients and families, and transport patients as needed.
• Perform ultrasound exams according to protocols and ensure timely completion.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and quality outcomes.
• Document results and apply appropriate charge codes.
• Mentor caregivers and students in equipment use and techniques.
