Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Tech at Good Samaritan Hospital to perform diagnostic cardiac/vascular ultrasound exams under physician supervision. This position is designed for recent graduates or those new to the field, with a focus on building foundational skills.

The role is part-time (30 hours), with 10-hour days on 3/10 schedule and on-call shifts, located in Lafayette, Colorado. You will join a team that values education, patient care, and professional development while mentoring

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS for healthcare providers is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff and patients.
• Prepare for exams by identifying patients and educating them.
• Perform ultrasound exams per protocols and ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort; achieve quality outcomes.
• Document exam results and apply appropriate charge codes.
• Mentor caregivers and students in equipment use.
• Maintain clean equipment and work area.
• Participate in quality improvement and educational opportunities.
