Job summary

Intermountain Health’s Good Samaritan Hospital is seeking an Echo Tech. This role performs diagnostic cardiac/vascular exams under physician direction for identification of abnormalities, focusing on new entrants to the field or graduates.

The position offers part-time hours with 10-hour shifts and on-call duties, centered at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, Colorado. You will support the clinical team, ensure patient safety, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred from an accredited institution; degree will be verified.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for exams by identifying patients, educating patients and families, and transporting patients.
• Perform ultrasound exams per related protocols in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort; achieve quality outcomes.
• Communicate patient needs to physicians and caregivers during exams.
• Document results and apply charge codes for exams and supplies.
• Maintain equipment, work area, and stock supplies.
• Participate in educational opportunities to develop additional skills.
