Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac/vascular exams under physician direction at Good Samaritan Hospital. This role is designed for recent graduates or those new to the field, with part-time hours and on-call shifts.

You will prioritize exams, coordinate with medical staff, educate patients, and document results while supporting clinical teams and quality initiatives. Mentoring peers and students is encouraged as you develop your skills.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; education from accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Competency demonstrated for department-specific protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams and coordinate with staff and patients.
• Prepare for exams by educating patient and family on procedures.
• Perform ultrasound exams per protocol and ensure patient safety.
• Document results and apply correct charge codes for exams and supplies.
• Maintain and clean equipment and work areas; support quality initiatives.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and techniques.
• Provide education to caregivers, fellows, and students as appropriate.
