Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an Echo Tech at Good Samaritan Hospital to perform diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams under physician direction. The role is designed for recent graduates or those new to the field, with on-call and 10-hour day shifts (3/10s), part-time (30 hours).

You will join a team focused on education, collaboration, and continuous improvement, supporting clinicians and patients while advancing your skills in echocardiography.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; education from accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department-specific protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physicians, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for exams by following patient identification processes and educating patient/family.
• Perform ultrasound exams per related protocols in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Document exam results and other needed information; apply appropriate charge codes.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and technique.
• Maintain equipment, work area, and stock supplies; coordinate repairs or supplies as needed.
