Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Cardiac Care CNA to support the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at Saint John Hospital– Leavenworth, KS. The per diem position requires handling high-acuity cardiac patients, monitoring telemetry, and reporting changes to the care team.

The ideal candidate holds a current CNA certificate and BLS within 30 days of hire, with six months of acute care experience preferred. Night shifts and per diem eligibility are offered with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months’ previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for critically ill cardiac patients, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity.
• Obtain and document frequent vital signs, intake/output, and patient observations, promptly reporting abnormal findings to nursing staff.
• Support continuous cardiac monitoring by maintaining telemetry equipment and immediately alerting RNs to rhythm changes or monitor alarms.
• Assist with patient repositioning, mobility, and hygiene while managing lines, tubes, and invasive equipment safely during care activities.
• Collaborate with RNs and the interdisciplinary team during rapid responses and code situations, maintaining a calm and organized care environment.

We are seeking aCardiac Care CNA,also referred to as aCardiologyCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA),CardiologyCNAorCardiac CNA.OurCardiac Care CNAwill work in ourCoronary Care Unit (CCU) supporting critically ill cardiac patients. Skilled in high-acuity patient care, continuous monitoring support, and rapid communication with the healthcare team to promote patient safety and positive outcomes in a fast-paced critical care environment.This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for critically ill cardiac patients, including post–myocardial infarction and post–cardiac procedure patients, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity
• Obtain and documented frequent vital signs, intake/output, and patient observations, promptly reporting abnormal findings to nursing staff
• Support continuous cardiac monitoring bymaintainingtelemetry equipment andimmediatelyalerting RNs to rhythm changes ormonitoralarms
