Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Cardiology RN for St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. This Full Time role features 10-hour day shifts (four days per week, no weekends/no holidays/no call) and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include performing cardiac procedures, monitoring ECGs, and educating patients on cardiac conditions and self-care. Requires RN license, BLS, ACLS; telemetry/Cath Lab or ER experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintain.
• Telemetry, Cath Lab or ER experience highly preferred.
• BSN highly preferred.
• Strong IV start skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' cardiac health through physical examinations, medical histories and vital signs.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret ECGs for abnormalities.
• Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions, medications and lifestyle changes.
• Respond to cardiac emergencies with CPR and ACLS protocols.
• Maintain efficient workflow in a busy clinical setting.

CardiovascularRNsassistcardiologists by offering direct care to patients with acuteorchroniccardiovascular diseases.They may use electrocardiograms, stress tests, and vascular monitoring to evaluate the heart health of our patients.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

As a Cardiology RN you will be primarily be responsible for performing cardiac procedures such as nuclear stress testing and stress echo's among other clinical duties.

• Assess patients' cardiac health through physical examinations, reviewing medical histories, andmonitoringvital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen saturation


• Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and interpret electrocardiograms (ECGs) toidentifyirregularities or signs of distress


• Provideeducation to patients and their families about cardiac conditions, medications, lifestyle modifications, and self-care techniques to manage their condition effectively


• Respond to cardiac emergencies such as cardiac arrests or acute myocardial infarctions (heart attacks) byinitiatingcardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) protocols


• Maintain efficient work flow in busy office setting to facilitate on time schedule.
