Job summary

St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Telemetry CNA to support patients under continuous cardiac monitoring. The role requires a CNA certificate, BLS within 30 days of hire, and knowledge of medical terminology. This is a full-time position with nights shifts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Measure and document vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, oxygen saturation).
• Observe patients for changes in condition and report to the RN.
• Monitor cardiac monitors and report irregularities to nursing staff.
• Ensure telemetry leads and equipment are correctly placed and functioning.
• Act as a liaison between patients and the nursing team.

Location : Saint Joseph Medical Center – Kansas City, MO

We are seeking a Telemetry CNA, sometimes referred to as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). The Certified Nursing Assistant in our telemetry unit plays an important role in the care of patients who require continuous monitoring of their heart and vital signs. Our Telemetry units typically care for patients with cardiac conditions, post-surgical needs, or other medical issues requiring close monitoring. Our CNA’s provide essential support to patients under close cardiac monitoring.

Responsibilities

• M easure and document vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation)
• O bserve patients for any changes in condition, such as increased discomfort, difficulty breathing, or changes in mental status, and report findings to the RN
• O bserve cardiac monitors and reporting any irregularities to the nursing staff
• E nsure telemetry leads and equipment are properly placed and functioning
• A ct as a liaison between patients and the nursing team

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months’ previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
