Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Cardiac Care Registered Nurse (CCU RN) for Saint John Hospital in Leavenworth, KS. This PRN/Per Diem night-shift role requires delivering comprehensive care to patients with cardiac conditions.

You will monitor cardiac status, administer medications, perform assessments, educate families, and respond to emergencies with CPR and life-saving interventions. New graduates encouraged; entry-level welcomed with training.

Qualifications

• Must have current and valid RN license issued by the State.
• BCLS upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• One year as a Staff RN in an Acute Care Hospital preferred.
• CCRN may be a plus.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' cardiac status, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect changes.
• Administer prescribed medications, including IV drugs and cardiac meds.
• Perform cardiac assessments, review histories, and evaluate symptoms.
• Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions, plans, medications, and self-care.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, perform CPR, and assist in life-saving procedures.

Hours: 7:00pm to 7:00am

Location: Saint John Hospital - Leavenworth, KS

We are seeking a Cardiac Care Registered Nurse, sometimes referred to as a CCU RN. These Registered Nurses (RN) play an important role in our hospital by providing comprehensive care to patients who are recovering from cardiac conditions, managing acute and chronic illnesses, or undergoing diagnostic procedures.

Responsibilities

If you are a licensed Registered Nurse (RN), we\'re prepared to provide training to suitable candidates for this role. Newly graduated RNs are encouraged to apply. No experience needed, entry-level

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• monitor patients\' cardiac status, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect any changes or abnormalities, heart attacks, or other cardiac conditions
• administer medications as prescribed by physicians, including intravenous drugs, cardiac medications, and pain management medications
• perform assessments of patients\' cardiac status, including physical assessments, review medical histories, and evaluate symptoms
• provide education to patients and their families about cardiac conditions, treatment plans, medications, lifestyle modifications, and self-care practices
• React promptly to cardiac emergencies, including arrhythmias, cardiac arrests, or respiratory distress, necessitating immediate implementation of emergency procedures, administration of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and aiding in defibrillation and other crucial life-saving measures
