Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Consulting Manager for its Construction and Real Estate Advisory practice in the United States. You will perform construction program reviews, contract cost audits, and real estate management assessments for capital projects and portfolios.

Responsibilities include leading fieldwork, delivering actionable recommendations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects meet objectives and compliance across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in construction management, real estate advisory, or capital projects consulting.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, Construction Management, Accounting; CPA, CIA, CCA, CFE, PMP, or PE preferred.
• Knowledge in construction phases: planning, pre-construction, procurement, contract administration, scheduling, cost estimating, project reporting, closeout; real estate portfolio management, lease administration, and property operations.
• Experience conducting contract compliance audits, CAM reconciliations, and performance monitoring for public/private sector clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to produce organized research, audit work papers, and client-facing reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough reviews of construction and real estate management processes, controls, and compliance frameworks.
• Assess construction contracts, real estate lease agreements, and capital project performance for adherence to terms and regulations.
• Provide actionable recommendations to improve transparency, accountability, and efficiency.
• Lead fieldwork: data collection, site visits, interviews; prepare clear reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with project managers, asset managers, legal counsel, clients, and contractors to support oversight and risk mitigation.
• Support clients through the real estate and capital project lifecycle from acquisition to disposition.
