Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Consulting Manager for Construction and Real Estate Advisory in the United States. The role focuses on construction program reviews, contract cost audits, and real estate management assessments across capital projects and real estate portfolios.

The candidate will lead fieldwork, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver best-practice consulting to clients while developing industry knowledge and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in construction management or real estate advisory.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, Construction Management, Accounting, or related field.
• CPA, CIA, CCA, CFE, PMP, or PE preferred.
• Knowledge of construction phases: planning, pre-construction services, sourcing and procurement, contract administration, scheduling, cost estimating, project reporting, closeout; also real estate portfolio management, lease administration, property operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to produce organized research, audit work papers, and client-facing reports.
• Travel up to 25% to support client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough reviews of construction and real estate management processes, controls, and compliance frameworks to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assess construction contracts, real estate lease agreements, and capital project performance for contractual and regulatory compliance.
• Provide actionable recommendations to enhance transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency.
• Lead fieldwork activities including data collection, site visits, interviews, and documentation; prepare concise reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with project managers, asset managers, legal counsel, clients, contractors and other stakeholders to support oversight and risk mitigation.
• Support clients throughout the real estate and capital project lifecycle from acquisition to disposition, aligning with business objectives.
