Job summary

Baker Tilly’s Construction and Real Estate Advisory practice is seeking a Consulting Manager to perform program reviews, contract cost audits, and real estate management assessments across the United States. The role combines construction expertise with real estate insight to deliver integrated advisory solutions for capital projects and portfolios.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in construction management or real estate advisory.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, Construction Management, Accounting; CPA/CIA/CCA/CFE/PMP/PE preferred.
• Knowledge of construction phases including planning, pre-construction, sourcing, procurement, scheduling, cost estimating, and closeout, plus real estate portfolio management.
• Experience conducting contract compliance audits and performance monitoring for public or private sector clients is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to produce client-facing reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough reviews of construction and real estate processes, controls, and compliance to identify improvements.
• Assess construction contracts, real estate leases, and capital project performance for adherence to terms and regulations.
• Provide actionable recommendations to improve transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency.
• Lead fieldwork activities: data collection, site visits, interviews, documentation; prepare clear reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with project managers, asset managers, legal counsel, clients, contractors, and teams to support oversight and risk mitigation.
• Support clients through the real estate and capital project lifecycle from acquisition to disposition.
