Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking a Contracts Administrator to provide direction and support for the execution of contracts and purchase orders related to capital projects within Facilities Design and Construction. You will coordinate bidding, monitor project scope and cost, and report to senior management.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 2+ years in a relevant area, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of relevant experience required.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of engineering/construction contracting practices, ORC 153, OAC 153, applicable laws and university policy.
• Ability to balance workload and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Email, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to ensure effective execution of contracts and purchase orders for capital projects.
• Coordinate bidding and contracting with external firms and Office of Legal Affairs.
• Monitor project scope, schedule, cost and quality; update project management and contracting tasks.
• Support reports to the Director of Program Management and collaborate with project managers and senior management.
• Maintain and update the department's project management system.
