Job summary

GOEBEL FIXTURE COMPANY in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Retail Supervisor to lead a store team and deliver an exceptional cannabis guest experience. Reporting to the Store Leader, you will drive guest service, operations, and compliance while coaching staff to meet goals.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years in retail or hospitality, strong communication, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in retail, guest service or hospitality.
• Ability to lead and motivate a sales-focused team.
• Excellent interpersonal and guest service skills.
• Strong written, verbal and group communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the business.
• Physical requirements- Ability to walk or maneuver and be on feet for 8-10 hours a day and the ability to lift 30lbs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
• Cross functional collaborator, as well as independently motivated.

Responsibilities

• Perform inventory audits, physical inventories, proper receiving and destruction.
• Lead teams efficiently and ensure excellence in performance and guest service.
• Ensure cash management procedures are being followed including, transacting, opening, closing, depositing, reporting, reconciliation and escalation of discrepancies.
• Maintain the safety and security of all guests and team members.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to communicate all relevant store needs.
• Ensure team focuses on superior guest service and upholds a positive reputation of the company.
• Responsible for reviewing SOP’s and assuring that any changes are communicated to employees.
• In partnership with the leadership team oversee daily sales floor activities, ensuring smooth and efficient operations through observation and coaching.
• Support marketing and promotions by ensuring visual excellence through product placement, closing standards, and implementation of seasonal direction.
• Foster and maintain a positive work environment.
