Job summary

Alpha is seeking a Lead Guide to build and coach high-performing Guides, developing leaders and an environment where students consistently exceed expectations.

You will lead engaging life skills workshops, motivate students toward ambitious goals in self-directed programs, and use data and coaching conversations to raise performance. Relocation to Boston, Raleigh, NYC, Orange County, or Santa Barbara is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• At least 5 years in education, coaching, or leadership.
• Experience leading teams of five or more people.
• Proven ability to use data to drive performance improvements.
• Experience with children aged 5–14 in educational or coaching settings.

Responsibilities

• Coach Guides to deliver exceptional student experiences while upholding Alpha's high standards.
• Lead life skills workshops to develop communication, leadership, focus, and other real-world skills for K-12 students.
• Motivate students to achieve ambitious learning goals and maximize progress in their self-directed academic programs.
• Use data, observation, and coaching conversations to improve Guide performance and student outcomes.
• Help launch and establish new Alpha campuses by building a culture centered on excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
