Job summary

Alpha is hiring a Youth Education Manager to recruit and empower Guides, coach teams, and foster a culture of excellence across campuses in Raleigh, Boston, NY, and beyond. You will lead life-skills programs, drive student outcomes with data-informed coaching, and help launch new Alpha campuses from zero.

This full-time, on-site role requires a track record of leading teams, a relevant education background, and a passion for redefining K-12 education with bold approaches.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work on-site at an Alpha campus (relocation support available)
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in education, coaching, learning and development, or a related leadership role.
• Experience leading and developing teams of five or more people, including hiring and making performance-based termination decisions.
• Demonstrated success using data to drive performance improvements.
• Experience working with children ages 5-14 in an educational, coaching, or developmental setting.
• Experience building or launching a new team, program, business, school, or initiative, with willingness to help open a new campus from zero.
• Willingness to work in a school model that rejects traditional lecture-based pedagogy.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Coaching Guides to consistently deliver exceptional student experiences while maintaining Alpha's high standards.
• Leading engaging life skills workshops that develop communication, leadership, focus, and other real-world skills for K-12 students.
• Motivating students to achieve ambitious learning goals and maximize progress in their self-directed academic programs.
• Using data, observation, and coaching conversations to improve Guide performance and student outcomes.
• Helping launch and establish new Alpha campuses by building a culture centered on excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
