Job summary

Follett Corporation in Chicago is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support a Market Leader or Campus Store Manager in overseeing store operations and driving sales growth. You will lead a team to deliver brand excellence and an engaging customer experience across campus locations.

The role requires monitoring financial metrics, coaching staff, and maintaining merchandising standards while ensuring a hassle-free customer service culture. Availability to meet business needs is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree preferred.
• 0-5 years of retail or bookstore experience preferred.
• General Computer Skills

Responsibilities

• Supervises the work activities of sales team members FT/PT and Temporary.
• Onboards new hires and trains staff.
• Greet customers, answer phones, and resolve escalated issues to ensure exceptional customer experience.
• Handles cash, credit, and deposits and balances drawers.
• Maintains merchandising and display standards.
• May fill in for other staff during peak periods.
• Responsible for opening/closing as a keyholder.
