Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent preferred.
• 0-5 years of retail or bookstore experience preferred; supervisory experience preferred.
• General computer skills and familiarity with store systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the work activities of sales team members FT/PT and Temporary.
• Schedules team members' work hours.
• Trains new team members FT/PT and seasonal staff.
• Ensures sales team follow policies, procedures, and standards.
• Maintains proper merchandising and promotion standards and creates displays.
• Onboards new hires.
• Greet customers, answer phones, provide information, resolve escalated issues; promote a solutions-based customer experience.
• Handle cash operations, balance cash drawer, and prepare deposits.
• Stock shelves and manage inventory per store schedule.
• May perform general store cleaning and shelf straightening.
• May cover other roles during breaks or peak periods.
• Keyholder with opening/closing responsibilities.
• Prepare daily sales reports and end-of-month payroll reports.
