Job summary

Northeast State Community College is seeking a Computer Technician to install, upgrade, configure, and troubleshoot computers, peripherals, and software, reporting to the Director of Client Services.

Responsibilities include installing and repairing printers and scanners, assisting with inventory of devices, and providing end-user support in a college environment. A two-year tech background or an AA degree plus CompTIA A+ are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or two years' work experience with hardware and networking.
  • Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing computers and peripherals.
  • Experience with Windows and macOS, MS Office 365, and networked printer equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, upgrade, configure, troubleshoot, and repair computers, peripherals, and software.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair printers and scanners.
  • Assist with inventory of printer supplies and consumables.
  • Assist with inventory of laptops and mobile devices for faculty, staff, and students.
  • Assist with checkout, return, and tracking of laptops and mobile devices.
  • Assist with installation, upgrade, and maintenance of computer network equipment and software.
  • Provide end-user technology support.
