Job summary

Northeast State Community College in Blountville, TN is seeking a Computer Technician. This role reports to the Director of Client Services and focuses on installing, upgrading, configuring, and troubleshooting computers, peripherals, and software across campus.

You will support printers and scanners, assist with inventory of laptops and mobile devices, and help end-users with technology issues. Minimum qualifications include an associate degree or two years of experience plus CompTIA A+

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or two years’ work experience in computers, hardware and networking.
  • CompTIA A+ certification required or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Install, upgrade, configure, troubleshoot, and repair computers, peripherals, and software.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair networked and locally connected printers and scanners.
  • Assist with inventory of printer supplies, toner, and related consumables.
  • Assist with inventory of laptops and mobile devices for faculty, staff and students.
  • Assist with checkout, return, and tracking of laptops and mobile devices.
  • Assist with installation, upgrade, and maintenance of computer network equipment and software.
  • Assist end-users with technology issues.
