Job summary

Lake Erie College in Ohio is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide desktop, software, and network help desk support for campus users. The role involves diagnosing issues, guiding users to solutions, and documenting resolutions to maintain campus technology reliability.

You will configure end-user hardware and software, support LMS and ERP systems, and assist with servers, storage, and network equipment. On-call work may be required; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

Provides first-line technical support for campus users via phone or in person.
Familiar with desktop operating systems and common software applications.
Understanding of basic network concepts and IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Fields IT help desk calls/tickets and creates initial request records.
Monitors the IT support email and calendar.
Documents solutions and shares improvements for technology and processes.
Sets up and configures end-user PC hardware and software.
Provides initial software support for LMS and ERP systems.
Assists with server, storage, network, telephony, A/V, and security equipment as needed.
Provides on-call and after-hours support as required.
Coordinates with campus constituents regarding event IT needs.
Supports new student orientation procedures.
Mentors IT interns under the Director of Information Technology.
Performs other duties as assigned.
