Job summary

Winthrop University is seeking a Project Manager to oversees design and construction of new buildings, renovations, and underground utilities coordination. Reports to AVP for Facilities Management and ensures compliance with plans, regulations, and safety standards.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, two years of construction experience, and a valid driver’s license. Preference for familiarity with SCOSE processes and AutoCAD/Microsoft Project skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Participates in bid openings, evaluation of bid packages, contract negotiations and site meetings.
• Directs onsite construction work as project manager/owner’s representative.
• Prepares reports and coordinates with architects, engineers, contractors and campus users from planning to project completion.
• Develops punch lists with contractors and ensures items are completed.
• Coordinates project work with campus users, stakeholders and Facilities/EHS staff.
• Ensures work complies with plans, specifications and codes before approving payments.
