Job summary

Wake Forest University seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee capital construction and major renovations with budgets typically around several million dollars. You’ll lead design coordination, procurement, scheduling, and contract administration, ensuring construction meets standards and timelines across university facilities.

The role emphasizes collaboration with internal customers, rigorous oversight, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic campus environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or related field with 10+ years of PM experience.
• Knowledge of design reviews, cost estimating, scheduling, contracting and capital/non-capital project management.
• Familiarity with local codes and design/light construction standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management for capital and non-capital projects including procurement of design services and contractor bids.
• Manage design team, scheduling, budgets, change orders and invoices through close-out.
• Coordinate with customers, meetings, and ensure timely, quality delivery of project objectives.
• Oversee permitting, commissioning, warranty documentation and asset capitalization with Finance.
• Lead project teams, mentor staff, and ensure compliance with codes and university standards.
