North Carolina State University is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead daily operations at Fountain Dining Hall on the Raleigh campus. The role reports to the unit General Manager and emphasizes independent day-to-day decision making, guest service, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, maintaining ServSafe compliance, managing staffing and costs, and upholding department mission and values in a fast-paced dining environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in dietetics or related field with 1 year of food management experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Some positions may require registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Proficiency in computers and ability to learn new software programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Fountain Dining Hall, ensuring efficient service and guest satisfaction.
• Supervise, schedule, and develop permanent, temporary, and student employees; support recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and foster a positive team environment.
• Maintain ServSafe certification and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
• Partner with General Manager to manage staffing, control operating costs, and meet budgetary goals.
