NC State University’s NC State Dining is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead Fountain Dining Hall operations on the Raleigh campus. You will make day-to-day decisions, supervise staff and student workers, and partner with the General Manager to meet budget goals while delivering outstanding guest service.

Required is a ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 90 days, and a degree in dietetics/ hospitality or related field with food management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Dietetics, Home Economics, Hospitality Management or related discipline with 1 year of food management experience; or an Associate’s degree with 3 years of food management experience.
• Some positions may require registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of Fountain Dining Hall, exercising independent judgment to ensure efficient service, operational excellence, and a positive guest experience.
• Supervise, schedule, and develop permanent, temporary, and student employees, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and fostering a positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Maintain an active ServSafe certification and ensure compliance with all food safety regulations.
• Partner with the General Manager to manage staffing, control operating costs, and achieve budgetary goals.
