Job summary

NC State Dining at NC State University in Raleigh, NC, seeks a Head Chef to lead culinary and administrative operations in Case Dining Hall. You will deliver exceptional food quality, drive customer satisfaction, and manage a high-performing team focused on menu balance, nutrition, cost, labor, and service excellence.

Reporting to the General Manager with guidance from Campus Executive Chefs, you will develop menus, train staff, oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure safety and sanitation, and

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year in food prep or service.
• Strong hospitality and culinary management experience.
• Experience in budgeting and production planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead culinary and administrative operations for Case Dining Hall.
• Develop menus, test items, ensure consistent quality and presentation.
• Hire, train, supervise sous chefs and staff; provide coaching.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations, inventory forecasting, and budgets.
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and allergen protocols.
