Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Familiar with kitchen equipment.
• Able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with current standards and guidelines for quality, presentation, and safety.
• Follow recipes and product directions for various foods.
• Read menus, estimate food requirements, and plan production.
• Walk or stand for extended periods during shifts.
• Contribute to kitchen teamwork and maintain sanitation.
