Sodexo is seeking a full-time Baker at the University of Massachusetts Boston campus. You will prepare baked goods from scratch, following Sodexo recipes and standards to ensure high quality in taste and appearance for guests.

You will manage daily production, maintain bake shop organization, and adapt to client needs across accounts. The role requires standing for long periods, willingness to work varied shifts, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Competenze

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 1 more years of related work experience.
• Experience in a specialized bakery or pastry role preferred.

Mansioni

• Check daily production schedules and follow Sodexo recipes to prepare breads, rolls, muffins, cakes, and pastries.
• Weigh and measure ingredients; mix doughs and batters by hand or mixer; shape and bake.
• Regulate oven temperatures and bake items to correct times and temperatures.
• Set up and stock the bake shop area; maintain storage, labeling, dating, and cleanliness.
• Pay attention to detail; accommodate special requests; ensure only high‑quality baked items leave the kitchen.
• Significant walking or other mobility; stand for extended periods; lift up to 35 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs.
