Sodexo is seeking a Baker near the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to prepare baked goods from recipes and production specs, ensuring top quality in taste and presentation for guests. This part-time role offers flexible shifts, requires a high school diploma and 0–1 year bakery experience, and involves standing long hours and lifting up to 50 pounds.

You will follow Sodexo culinary standards, weigh ingredients, shape dough, and monitor oven temperatures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 0–1 year of related bakery experience preferred.
• Experience in a specialized bakery or pastry role preferred.

Responsabilités

• Check daily production schedules and prepare a variety of baked items from scratch (bread, rolls, muffins, biscuits, cakes, pastries).
• Accurately weigh ingredients, mix doughs and batters, shape and bake items to specification.
• Regulate oven temperatures and monitor baking times for proper product quality and safety.
• Set up and stock the bake shop area, maintain storage, rotation, labeling, and dating of products; keep area clean.
• Pay attention to detail, accommodate special requests, and ensure high-quality items leave the kitchen.
• Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
