Job summary

Baker position at Sodexo serving ITAWAMBA COMMUNITY COLLEGE - FULTON CAMPUS. You will bake from scratch following recipes and production specs to deliver high-quality pastries and bakery items for guests.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 1 more years of related work experience.
• Experience in a specialized bakery or pastry role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check production schedules and follow Sodexo recipes to bake items from scratch (bread, rolls, pastries).
• Weigh ingredients, mix dough, shape and bake to perfection.
• Regulate oven temps, monitor times, ensure correct temperatures for all items.
• Set up bake shop, rotate storage, label/date products, keep area clean.
• Pay attention to detail, accommodate special requests, ensure quality.
• Stand or walk during shifts; mobility required.
• Use hands to handle, reach, taste or smell as needed.
• Stand for long shifts; may exceed 8 hours.
• Lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds; push/pull/reach.
• Attend shift on time; other duties as assigned.
