Job summary

The University of New England seeks an Auxiliary Services Manager to oversee laundry, vending, mail and copy operations across Biddeford and Portland campuses. You’ll provide leadership, develop plans, and ensure timely, high‑quality services for students, faculty, staff, and partners.

You will manage budgets, vendor contracts, staffing, and cross-campus initiatives, seeking innovative technologies and best practices while coordinating with Facilities, IT, and Finance to support campus life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in auxiliary services, facilities operations, or business operations, with supervisory experience.
• Experience managing staff across multiple sites or campuses strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in budget management and vendor relations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage professional staff and work collaboratively with diverse groups.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to anticipate needs and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of mail/package centers, print/copy facilities, laundry systems, and vending across campuses.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure consistency and high-quality service delivery.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise professional staff on multiple campuses.
• Provide mentoring and professional development to foster accountability and service excellence.
• Ensure staffing models are efficient and aligned with peak demand cycles across campuses.
• Create, manage, and reconcile budgets; monitor expenditures; negotiate contracts and oversee vendor performance.
