Job summary

Anduril Industries in Lexington, MA is seeking a Camera Test Engineer to ensure production tests meet stringent quality standards and to push improvements in automation, throughput, UI, and data analytics. You will collaborate across teams to resolve production issues and implement scalable testing processes.

The role requires a strong background in physics/engineering, 3+ years in manufacturing test, experience with MATLAB and Python, and the ability to develop test instructions for MES.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on manufacturing test and product sustainment.
• Experience with data acquisition and processing with MATLAB, Python and other programming languages.
• Experience with test automation and report generation.
• Strong root cause analysis skills of non‑conforming hardware, software, and firmware.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Own test activities in production and ensure production test flow; provide hands‑on troubleshooting.
• Maintain test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream, from system level to component level in process validation.
• Generate test work instructions for MES and train technicians on equipment use.
• Develop library of common failure modes with troubleshooting guides/diagrams.
• Maintain and develop software for test automation, data analytics, and report generation.
• Determine root causes of product failures and recommend corrective actions (RCCA).
• Collaborate with Design, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to support customer returns and failure analysis.
• Contribute feedback to early‑stage test design for NPI test processes.
• Analyze test data, document results, and provide detailed reports identifying defects and improvement areas.
• Work with design engineers to recommend product enhancements based on test outcomes.
• Optimize test strategies for efficiency and effectiveness, reducing test time without sacrificing quality.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure precision and reliability.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance testing processes and methodologies.
