Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Laser/Camera Test Engineer to ensure stringent testing standards and high-quality products. You will lead production test activities, troubleshoot infrared systems, and push automation, data analytics, and UI improvements across the manufacturing flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of manufacturing test and product sustainment experience.
• Experience with data acquisition and processing using MATLAB, Python and other programming languages.
• Experience with test automation and report generation.
• Strong root cause analysis skills for non-conforming hardware, software, and firmware.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ownership of test activities in production and ensure production test flow; perform hands-on troubleshooting for infrared systems.
• Maintain test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream, from system checkouts to component-level validation.
• Generate and train technicians on test work instructions in MES; develop troubleshooting guides.
• Develop library of common failure modes with diagrams for rapid resolution.
• Maintain and develop software for test automation, data analytics, and report generation.
• Determine root causes of product failures and recommend corrective actions (RCCA).
• Support customer returns and failure analysis with Design, Quality and Manufacturing teams.
• Contribute feedback to early-stage test design for new products (NPI).
• Analyze test data, document results, and provide reports identifying defects and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with design engineers to advise on product enhancements based on test results.
• Optimize test strategies to reduce time while preserving quality.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure precision and reliability.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes and methodologies.
