Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Laser/Camera Test Engineer to ensure our systems meet stringent testing standards. You will own production test flow, troubleshoot infrared systems, and develop automation and analytics to improve throughput and data-driven decisions.

The role requires collaboration with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing teams, strong root-cause analysis, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly technical environment. A U.S. Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or science field.
• 3+ years in manufacturing test or product sustainment.
• Experience with data acquisition and processing (MATLAB, Python).
• Experience with test automation and report generation.
• Strong root cause analysis for hardware/software/firmware issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience integrating electrical, opto-mechanical, and software systems.
• Ability to obtain/maintain active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own production test activities and ensure test flow in manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot infrared systems and resolve complex issues.
• Maintain test capabilities from system to component level.
• Create clear work instructions for MES-trained technicians.
• Develop a library of failure modes and troubleshooting guides.
• Maintain software for test automation, data analytics, and reports.
• Analyze test data and generate detailed defect reports.
• Collaborate with Design/Quality/Manufacturing for returns and FAI.
• Provide feedback on test design for NPI and product improvements.
• Optimize test strategies to reduce time while ensuring quality.
• Calibrate and maintain test equipment for precision.
• Support continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
