Job summary

Blue Bottle is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead cafe operations, drive hospitality excellence, and uphold our stringent standards. You will guide team performance, manage daily cash handling, inventory, and guest relations while modelling exceptional service.

Ideal candidates have 6–12 months of supervisory experience and completed Blue Bottle Academy Barista training, with mandatory Food Safety Certification for the state. A flexible schedule is required.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of supervisory experience or team leadership experience.
• Blue Bottle Academy Barista training and validation; may complete within 90 days post-hire.
• Current Food Safety Certification required for the state and role, or obtained within 30 days.
• Basic math and computer skills; flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations to deliver exceptional hospitality and maintain cafe standards.
• Oversee service flow ensuring safety, cleanliness, quality and efficiency.
• Assist with ordering, receiving and inventory management.
• Onboard and train new team members; supervise breaks and staffing as Leader on Duty.
• Handle cash and daily deposits; respond to guest concerns per protocol.
• Provide guidance on new menu items and operational procedures; uphold sustainability goals.
