Job summary

Blank Street Cafe seeks a Cafe Manager to own the store's daily operations, from people development to product quality and customer experience. You will lead training, scheduling, and execution to maintain high standards across food and beverage service.

You will hire and guide teams, optimize inventory and performance, and drive growth through engaging customer experiences and local community ties.

Qualifications

• Experience hiring, developing and managing hospitality teams.
• Experience managing inventory and supply chain ordering.
• Love for coffee and customer service.
• Experience working in a unionized environment is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of specialty coffee, espresso and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Create a motivating and engaging team culture by training, coaching, and mentoring your team.
• Cover scheduling gaps and approve timecards to ensure accurate payroll.
• Publish staff schedules in compliance with labor laws.
• Recruit top talent in collaboration with People Team.
• Oversee training quality and provide coaching where needed.
• Ensure coffee accreditations are handled on time for new employees.
