Blank Street in Boston is seeking a Café Manager to own store operations, lead a hospitality team, ensure product quality, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

You will train and develop staff, manage scheduling, inventory, and vendor relations while upholding safety and cleanliness standards in a fast-growing brand.

Applicants should have 4+ years of single-store operations experience, and must be available full-time (45 hours/week) with weekend shifts in a bustling cafe environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience managing and leading single-store unit operations in high growth hospitality or consumer brands.
• Full-time availability: 45 hours per week, 5 days, with weekend days required.

Responsibilities

• Build a motivating team culture through training, coaching, and mentoring.
• Fill scheduling gaps and publish staff rosters compliant with labor laws.
• Approve timecards and PTO to ensure accurate payroll.
• Recruit top talent in collaboration with People Team.
• Oversee training quality and provide feedback to Shift Leads.
• Maintain coffee quality standards and ensure recipes are followed.
• Manage ordering, vendors, waste, and inventory systems.
• Lead by example behind the bar 50–70% of the time.
• Ensure store safety, cleanliness, and presentation.
• Drive store performance to meet or exceed audit standards.
• Foster local community ties and drive brand loyalty.
• Support financial performance and peak throughput initiatives.
• Increase AOV through creative initiatives and team buy-in.
