Restaurant Associates, part of Compass Group USA, seeks a Café Manager in New York City to oversee day-to-day food service and lead the cafe team while upholding premier brand standards. This role drives guest satisfaction and operational excellence across a high-volume environment.

You will manage costs, productivity, sanitation, and compliance with health standards, while coaching staff to deliver a polished guest experience and support the client’s expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 1–3 years of relevant experience in food service operations.
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, or related food service areas.
• Operational knowledge of cash handling procedures and food service equipment.
• Proficient computer skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• ServSafe or health certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hires, supervises, trains, and coaches associates.
• Plans, markets, and executes special events and promotions in the cafe.
• Ensures compliance with sanitation and cleaning standards.
• Operates within the budget and identifies cost-saving opportunities.
• Manages high-volume cafe operations and guest experience.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
